Whitney-Amanda Horsham is a first generation American of Trinidadian descent currently residing in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The majority of her career has been spent in the non-profit sector working for Brooklyn-based, child welfare organizations. In addition to providing and facilitating supportive family and individual casework counseling, Whitney has also conducted numerous workshops revolving around goal setting, healthy relationships, and self-esteem for teens. She moved to Doha, Qatar in 2014 to continue this crucial work overseas, and most recently relocated to Dubai to lend her efforts to an international high school for young women and girls.
Along with being a proud, passionate, and vocal advocate for women’s rights, Whitney is also a world traveler and soca music disciple who enjoys the culinary arts, browning her legs in the Tobagonian sun, and moving through the world unapologetically as a free Black woman.
